Meet Our New Beverage Director: Leah

Meet the Visionary

Behind every great cocktail menu is a visionary mixologist who understands the art and science of blending flavors to create masterful drinks.

We are thrilled to introduce our new Beverage Director, Leah, who has been hard at work conjuring up a delightful array of summer cocktails. With years of experience in the beverage industry, Leah has honed her craft of balancing classic flavors with innovative twists.

With inspiration from the warmth and vibrancy of the season, she has curated an unforgettable lineup of refreshing cocktails that celebrate the essence of summer. Without further ado, allow us to introduce our Beverage Director:

Meet Leah:

Where are you from?

New Hampshire. The “Live Free or Die” state.

What brought you to La?

I drove across the country to California and as a snowboarder, landed in Tahoe. I moved to LA for the music scene and liveliness. Everyone seems to have a story of what brought them here. I love that such an integral part of this industry involves sharing stories and meeting new people.

What are you most looking forward to this summer?

I look forward to camping, cruising Balboa on a duffy, swimming at A-street in Newport, and sharing my take on summer-refreshing drinks: such as the Castellum Watermelon Cider and the “Like My Lychee” cocktail.

What’s your favorite thing to eat and drink at eat drink americano?

I’m obsessed with the Braised Niman Pork Cheeks and the El Camino #2 cocktail. The flavors induce memories of campfires, friends, and overall nostalgia.

Tell us about what you have planned as the new beverage director?

I’m really focusing on our spirits. Our staff are all trained to curate the perfect cocktail based upon flavor profile of each individual’s preference.

What’s a favorite memory working at eat drink americano?

My favorite memory was when it was gypsy jazz night and we were shaking cocktails in time with the band as if we were playing percussion.

What is your favorite thing about working at Eat Drink Americano?

This neighborhood has a sense of community. EDA is a place where neighbors and friends gather. I am proud to work here and thoroughly enjoy coming each day with open arms to invite anyone that wants to join our community.
